Weekend series in Copper Cliff

Game one would be a game in which was ALL Hounds from the drop of the puck! The Hounds would come out flying and strike early and often with Carter Huckson recording a natural Hat trick in the opening frame. The onslaught would continue into the second and third periods as multiple Hounds players would get onto the scoresheet. Copper Cliff would manage only a couple goals in the affair. Singles by Greene, Walker, Caruso, Kurylo, Vommaro, Gioia, along with 2 more by Huckson would find the Soo walking away with a 11-2 victory.        

Game 2 would see Copper Cliff take the play to the Hounds and come out skating hard. An early strike would see them go up 1-0. The strong play of the Reds would continue and Copper Cliff would add a second to be up 2-0 on the stunned Hounds team at intermission. The Hounds would continue to struggle in the second against the aggressive skating of the Reds. Strong goaltending by Cash Rowswell would keep the Hounds in the game to that point. Finally, Halfway through the frame after some hard forechecking, Koen Kurylo would walk in from the point and snipe a shot short side to make it a 2-1 deficit. The Hounds and Reds would trade chances but both goalies would hold the score at 2-1 for the Reds heading to the 3rd. The Soo would come out pressing for the equalizer and Early in the third, Caleb Walker would deflect a point shot by Callum Peterson and tie the score at 2-2. Shortly after, Carter Huckson would strike and give the Hounds a 3-2 lead. Walker would score his second of the contest but the Copper Cliff Reds would answer right back to make it 4-3.  Preston Miller and Jaguar Vommaro would add insurance tallies and the Hounds would skate away with a 6-3 Win.         
Game 3 would be a very physical test for the Hounds as Copper Cliff would come out hitting. The Reds would take the play to the Hounds and the physicality would find the Soo in penalty trouble. Some big stops by Nate Maguire would hold off the Reds attack and The Hounds would begin to answer back physically. With seconds remaining in the 1st, Sam Caruso would bang one home to put the Hounds up 1-0 at intermission. The 2nd period would see more physical and fiesty play and both teams would trade chances. Ethan Agawa would strike early in the frame and Preston Miller would further extend the Hounds lead to 3-0. Later on in the second, a bad bounce off of a Hounds D-man would cut into the Soo lead. Minutes later, a high shot from above the hash marks would beat Maguire and cut the Soo lead to 3-2 heading to the 3rd frame. The third period would settle in and both teams would see scoring opportunities. The Soo would pressure the Reds and halfway through the period a low point shot would be deflected by Caleb Walker past the Reds goalie to give the Hounds a 4-2 cushion. Both Teams would skate out the period and the Soo would take home the 4-2  Win and sweep the 3 game set.
