Hounds sweep final weekend series to finish first in regular season standings
WEEKEND RECAP – U11 SOO JUNIOR GREYHOUNDS

The U11 Jr. Greyhounds took to the ice in Sudbury this weekend to play their final 3 regular season games of the year against the Sudbury Timberwolves.
Game one saw the Greyhound team put in a strong effort and essentially control the game from start to finish, skating away with a convincing 10-2 win. The hounds were without defenseman Jacob Wierzbicki this weekend so Kipton Fera joined the team and filled in nicely taking home the hardest worker of the game award in the opening game. Carter Rome secured the win in net.
Game two was a closer game that saw the Timberwolves battle hard. In the end though it was the Hounds who captured victory winning 4-1. Ben Clayton with the win in net for this one and the HWG award!
In the Third and final game of the weekend the Timberwolves gave our boys everything they had and came out flying to a 3-0 lead. The Junior hounds showed resilience though and battled back to complete the weekend sweep with a 6-5 win. HWG award went to Cohen Kellar for his steady play in this exciting game. Rome and Clayton shared the net in this one.
After the weekend, the Greyhounds now sit 2 points above the Sudbury Timberwolves in the regular season standings. Although Sudbury has one more league game (scheduled for tonight), even if they were to win the game, the Soo would win the tiebreaker to finish the regular season in first place.
