WEEKEND RECAP – U11 SOO JUNIOR GREYHOUNDS

This weekend saw our U11 Junior Greyhounds (Jarrett) in exhibition play against the U12 AA Junior Greyhounds (Coletti). In what was without a doubt the most physical game of the year our boys battled hard but came out on the wrong side of a 7-6 decision.
Matti Lappalainen paced the U11 squad with an exceptional 4 goal outing while Brett Rossetto and Gavin Nevers each chipped in a goal. Ben Clayton and Carter Rome shared the goaltending duties. It was a battle back and forth in this one and if not for a couple costly turnovers could have gone either way.
Next up we host Nickel City for a 3 game weekend. Puck drop for game 1 goes Saturday November 6th at 12noon (John Rhodes 1). Game 2 Saturday 6pm (John Rhodes 1) and Game 3 Sunday 9am (Rankin).
