BANTAM MAJOR AAA JR GREYHOUNDS, U15 (Bantam), 2019-2020 (Sault Major Hockey)

The Soo Greyhound AAA Major Bantams evened the League Championship Final series against the Nickel City Sons with a thrilling 5-4 overtime victory in Levack on Sunday.  The Hounds led 4-3 before Nickel City tied the game with 1.7 seconds left in regulation time.  That set the stage for Carter Lidstone's overtime winner 27 seconds into overtime. Lidstone finished the game with 2 goals, also scoring 2 goals in the victory was Cooper Foster, Connor Chow-Lynn had the other. Terry See got the win in goal and was stellar throughout. The series now shifts back to Sault Ste. Marie for games 3 and 4 on Saturday March 14 at 6:30 pm and Sunday March 15 at 10:30 am.  Both games are at the John Rhodes 2 arena.

The Soo Greyhound Major Bantam AAA Hounds have advanced to the League Championship Series after a convincing 9-2 win Saturday afternoon against the North Bay Trappers. The Hounds swept the series 3-0 against the Trappers and will now play the Nickel City Sons for the League Championship.  Scoring for the Hounds in Saturday's victory was Carter Lidstone with 4 goals, Dawson Wilson with 2 goals, singles scored by Cooper Foster, Lincoln Moore and Gabe Zimbaro. The Hounds will open the best 3 out of 5 series this weekend in Sudbury.  The winner of this series advances to the OHF All Ontario Bantam AAA Championships in Waterloo, Ontario the week of March 30 to April 3.

The Soo Greyhound AAA Major Bantams are one win away from clinching their semi final series against the North Bay Trappers.  On Sunday they picked up a hard fought 7 4 win on the road to go up 2-0 in the series.  Scoring for the Hounds were Carter Lidstone with 2 goals, Nicholas Kelly, Lincoln Moore, Carmine Perna, Gabe Zimbaro and Cooper Foster with singles. Terry See got the win in net.  Games 3 and 4 of the series shifts back home in Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday Feb. 29 at 2:30 pm at the GFL Memorial Gardens.  Game 4 if necessary goes on Sunday March 1 at 3:30 pm at the John Rhodes 2.

The Soo Greyhound AAA Major Bantams opened up their best 3 out 5 series against North Bay Trappers on Saturday in Sturgeon Falls with a thrilling 2-1 victory.  The Hounds led the entire game 1-0 before North Bay scored with 39 seconds left to play in the third period.  That set the stage for Cooper Foster's dramatic goal with 2.9 seconds to play to give the Hounds the victory.  Foster finished the game with both Greyhound goals. Jaxon Alexander got the win in net. Game 2 in the series goes Sunday morning in Verner.
