The 2007 Phi Dental Care Soo Jr Greyhounds have just finished a successful season on the ice, finishing the year ranked 3rd in Ontario in the Atom Major AA divison and winning their Playoff Championship in Sudbury. For their coach, Chris Huckson, their season was never about wins or looses, he wanted to teach these young men life lessons over and above the hockey skill development. Hardwork, team play, time management, goal setting and controlling their emotions being some of the values that Chris instiled in the team. More importantly, he stressed the importance of giving back to the community and helping people in need.

As the final buzzer sounded for the last time on Sunday
morning, the Phi Dental Care Soo Jr Greyhounds ended the 2017-2018 season as
the Nickel District Minor Hockey League Playoff Champions. The team went
undefeated in league play and throughout the playoff tournament. As a team, it
was nice to see the boys win the championship but as the coaches stressed the
whole season, their goal was never about winning, it was about changing the
mindset of these young players and developing them into 1 unit, working together
in tandem, giving 100% effort, shift by shift, game by game.

As the 2007 Phi Dental Care Soo Jr Greyhounds had a well-deserved
week off for the March Break, the boys are back on the ice preparing for their
final weekend of the season. The Jr Hounds are now refocused and re-energized
to prove once again that they are the top team in the North.

After a long bus ride home from the NOHA Tournament of
Champions in Timmins this past weekend, the coaching staff are still in disbelief
of the fate that was handed to them. The Phi Dental Care Soo Jr Greyhounds were
favorites heading into the weekend with a 37-8-2 record and ranked 3rd
in Ontario. The boys showed their dominance through the round robin play out
scoring their opponents 13-0 in the first 3 games.
