Atom Major AA Hounds Take Next Step towards NIHL Playoffs
A successful weekend on home ice for the Atom Major AA JR Greyhounds leaves them hanging on to the fourth and final playoff spot in the NIHL Squirt AA division.  A four point weekend leaves them 6 points up on the Atom Minor AA Hounds who hold a game in hand.

Game one would see the Majors in a see saw 5 - 4 battle with the Calumet Kings.  A four goal performance from Evan Roach lead the way for the Hounds with Gabe Palumbo rounding out the scoring for the home side. Assists went to Tristan Holzwarth(3), Gage Evans, Parker Rushton, Cole Cond, Darrian Pucci, Kylie Schryer Spencer Headrick and Palumbo.   Grant Mathewson started between the pipes and made several key saves to preserve the win.  Other notable performances came from Caden Johnston, Brayden Luzzi, and Grayson Pine on defence as well as Jacob Briffet, Rowan Wyslocky and Wyatt LeBlanc up front.
Game two saw the Hounds renew hostilities with the Calumet Kings.  This game however the Greyhounds flexed some offensive muscle and dominated start to finish for a 9 - 0 victory.  The team didn't let Calumet gain any traction.  Sara Boston got the start in the twine and the shutout.  Jacob Briffet lead the offence with a four goal performance of his own.  Holzwarth would add 2 more and singles went to Roach, Pucci and Rushton for a balanced attack.  Leblanc (2), Cond (2), Evans (2), Palumbo, Schryer and Wyslocky had the helpers.
