EXCEPTIONAL PLAYER STATUS- DEADLINE EXTENDED
Submitted By Angel Barbisan on Thu 01 13, 22
The Sault Major Hockey Association would like to make parents aware that the deadline to apply for the Exceptional Player Status has been extended this year until January 31, 2022.

An exceptional player may be allowed to move up to facilitate the development of that particular player and as such SMHA has developed a policy to guide this practice.  In order to have a player be considered, the following must be completed:
  • A parent must request in writing to the SMHA to have his/her child play in a higher category.
  • This request must be received by January 31st. Any request received after this date will not be considered for the upcoming season.
  • This procedure will only act as a one year release and must be repeated yearly

The request is to be forwarded to SMHA: [email protected]
