U16 AA Greyhounds Win the Pickering Panthers Classic Tournament in OT

The U16 AA Sault Jr. Greyhounds have returned home from Toronto as the Pickering Panthers' Classic Champions!

Sunday saw the team win the semifinal 2-1 against Aurora setting themselves up for the final game versus the hometown Pickering Panthers.

In the championship tilt, the Greyhounds found themselves down 3-1 after 2 periods. They managed to score a shorthanded goal halfway through the period and then, with their net empty and 40 seconds to go, the Hounds equalized the score 3-3, setting up what would be a thrilling overtime stanza.

Dropping down to 3 on 3 play, the Hounds would score half way through the 5 minute OT period.

Players enjoyed a great weekend in Pickering with their families.

Borrelli, Kiinen Saari, Christian Sartor, Braydon Luzzi, Kaden Johnston, Brett Wilson, Danny Guzzo, Darion Pucci, Lucas Green, Sebastien Dos Reis, Jack McPherson, Jacob Briffett, Wyatt Leblanc, Tyler Quenneville, Tyler Smokowich, C.J.Lees, Noah Divalentin, and U15 AA call up Nathan Maguire.
