2020/21 hockey season is over.
The Board
of Directors of Sault Major Hockey Association (SMHA) have decided to conclude
our 2020-2021 hockey season.
While the
board strongly feels that hockey provides our members with important physical
and mental benefits, we also recognize that we must do our part as members of
our broader community.
By doing our part, SMHA hopes that the many local
businesses that support us will be able to open their doors and return to
normal business.
Details regarding any potential refunds are being worked on thru discussion with the NOHA and Hockey Canada and it is our goal to have those refunds in people’s hands as soon as possible. There is a strong possibility that included in the refunds will be portion of the HC insurance and the NOHA carding fees as well as any ice times SMHA wasn't able to provide because of the shutdown...
It is our hope that the 2021-2022 season will return to a more normal hockey season. We wish nothing but health and safety for our members and community at large.
See you in the fall.
