Atom Major AA Soo Jr. Greyhounds Bring Home the Gold from Barrie

Congratulations to the club on a great weekend in Barrie.

The team worked hard and battled throughout the round robin ending with a 3-0-1 record.  Setting them up for a semi final on Sunday morning when they defeated the Markham Waxers 4-1!  The team came out on top again in the final game defeating the Rideau St. Lawrence Kings 3-0!



"The Atom Major AA Soo Jr. Greyhounds have been working hard and achieving their goals this season!  They have entered 4 tournaments and have come out on top of all 4!

Here is a summary of their successes:

42nd Annual Essex Early Bird Tournament Champions - September 20-22, 2019 in Windsor, Ontario
The team was undefeated in the round robin and won the Championship Game against the Tecumseh Shoreline Eagles 5-0!!!!

Best of the Best Tournament Halton Hills Champions - October 11-13, 2019 in Halton Hills, Ontario
The team went 3-0-1 in the round robin and faced tough opponents for the semi final and final games.  The team beat the London Jr. Knights - White team 4-0 in the semi to advance to the final against the Niagara Falls Flyers ending with a 4-2 win for the championship.

Detroit Nations Cup Tier II Champions - November 29 - December 1, 2019 in Detroit, Michigan
In a Canada vs. USA tournament, the team defeated all of their American opponents throughout helping "Team Canada" bring home the Cup.

Great job team and coaches!  Best of luck in your NIHL playoffs in February and the NOHA Tournament of Champions in March!
