Juvenile League Information
Submitted By Ron Sartor on Sunday, July 28, 2019
Pending on registrations, here are the ideas/concepts behind Sault Major Hockey Association's new Juvenile League.

Numbers of interest point to at least a 3 team league.

At these age levels, most kids are either working or paying to go to school and thus cannot afford to get injured playing hockey.

Rules in this league will follow the likes of standard men's league hockey rules.

The following are just some of the basic concepts behind the league.

Game lengths and times will be determined after registrations, but games will be placed in the later time slots.

CHECKING:
None allowed, but understand that some body contact may occur.

GAMES:
One game a week.

PRACTICES:
First couple weeks of season, there will be a few practices.  After that, just games.

HELMETS and EQUIPMENT:
Full cage required.  Full equipment required.

FIGHTING PENALTIES:
1st Offense:  5 games
2nd Offense:  10 games
3rd Offense:  Out for remainder of the season

TOURNAMENTS:
Teams will decide for themselves.

Registration information will be opened shortly.
