Breakaway Bar and Grill win
Submitted By slawrence on Thursday, December 8, 2016
The Break-Away Attack competed well in the North Bay Challenge Cup this past weekend bringing home the Championship Banner as overall winners in the Midget Division.

The tournament started on Friday at 1:00pm with a win over the Russell Warriors and the night game was just as successful for the Attack with a win over the Petawawa Patriots. Day 2 of the tournament started well with a win over the West Ferris True North which placed the Break-Away in the Semi-Finals with a record of 3 wins and no losses.  The Semi-finals were held Saturday evening with an exciting game against the Cumberland Blades that was decided in a shootout win for the Attack. The tournament finals saw the Sault team facing Sudbury MVA which had also gone 4-0 in the tournament with just one goal against in the preceding four games.  Sudbury scored first, but the Attack answered back and the teams went into the third period tied.  Half way through the third, Sudbury scored again to take the lead, but with three minutes, the Attack again tied the game.  With just 1:18 left in the third, the Sault team scored the winning goal and held on against the Sudbury team which had pulled their goalie to successfully win the tournament.
