Sault Major Hockey Association is pleased to announce KBX will be the provider of the 8 Prep Skates and 1 Body Contact Clinic that the association is running this spring.

KBX Hockey Club Development – On-Ice Drills & Skills Prep Skates
We are pleased to be running the prep skates for the Soo Major Hockey Association, designed to help players to learn, improve and refine their skills and get ready for the upcoming evaluations and tryouts or upcoming season! Each session will focus on fundamental skills, utilizing a combination of diverse drills with intentional repetition to enhance technique and build confidence. Attending all four sessions will provide a great opportunity for skill development and overall readiness, however, each individual session will focus on the following.
What to Expect in Each Session:
- Skating Fundamentals & Conditioning – Improve stride efficiency, edge control, quick transitions, and overall agility.
- Puck Skills & Stickhandling – Work on better puck control, hand-eye coordination, skating with the puck.
- Passing & Shooting – Sharpen passing accuracy, improve shot release, and practice shooting.
- Goaltender Development – A goalie coach will provide instruction on movement, rebound control, and positioning while goalies are also incorporated into the flow practice, receiving shots.
These sessions are a great opportunity to build skills, gain confidence, and get ready for any upcoming evaluations and tryouts. Whether focused on competitive play or general skill improvement, these skates are designed to support player development at all levels.
