Mandatory U15A Body Checking Clinic - update
New this year will be a mandatory Body Contact Clinic for all players trying out for the U15A division to attend and complete prior to the Draft Games in September. The Clinics will be held the first weekend after Labour Day in September.

UPDATES:
Update – this course is MANDATORY for all 2011 birth year players that are new to body contact this upcoming season.  If your player previously took this clinic through KBX from March 2024 through to August 2024, they do not need to retake the clinic as long as proof of completion can be provided.

Update – if your player previously took this Body Contact Clinic through KBX prior to the start of last season (23/24) up to the start of this season (24/25) they are not required to retake it as long as proof of completion can be provided.  The clinic is highly recommended if it has been more than 6 months since your player completed the clinic.

Update – please note, if your player previously played in the body contact division last year (U15A) this clinic is not mandatory BUT is highly recommended.

Proof of previous completion can be sent to [email protected].

Registration for the clinic will be done through the SMHA 24/25 registration process.  Registration is expected to open very soon.

KBX Hockey Club has run Body Contact /Body Checking Clinics for several years. We receive fantastic feedback from parents and players both. This clinic helps players learn through education, learn through implementation, and learn to have respect for themselves and others on the ice. This clinic focuses on correct positioning, angling, protection of the player and the puck, safety against the boards, and how to be extremely respectful to others.
